18 <br />Preservation Planning Study is an excellent case study for such a program, since it <br />involves a number of preservation disciplines. <br />b. White Oak Grove School, Cedar Grove <br />Belk met again with the Northern Orange County Black History Committee. They <br />reviewed a draft of a National Register Study List application. Submittal of the <br />application is the next step. Belk will keep the HPC informed of progress. <br />c. Orange County Historical Architecture Manuscript <br />A $5,000 check from the Department of Cultural Resources should be arriving soon. <br />Belk will begin drafting a Request for Proposals for publishing the manuscript. Belk will <br />also apply fora $5,000 loan from the NC Federation of Historical Societies. More <br />information will be forthcoming at the June HPC meeting. <br />AGENDA ITEM #7: HPC MEETING SCHEDULED FOR JULY 22,1998 <br />Belk recommended cancellation of the July HPC meeting. He is scheduled to be away <br />for atwo-week military drill period during this time. The BOCC will also be on break <br />during July, and canceling this meeting will not delay ongoing HPC projects. <br />MOTION: Rich moved that the Historic Preservation Commission meeting for July <br />22 be canceled.
