It is also situated on the ridge line separating the Neuse and Cape Feaz River <br />Basins. The total acreage to be subdivided is 82.50 acres. The current zoning is Rural <br />Residential (R-1), Back Creek Protected Watershed, and Upper Eno Protected <br />Watershed. Adjacent land uses aze residential, agricultural, and a telephone switching <br />station. <br />The site is chazacterized by mostly open fields that are gently rolling away from the <br />ridgeline running northeast-southwest. The northern 20 percent of the former farm is <br />wooded. The Preliminary Plan shows three ponds, only one of which requires protection <br />under the Zoning Ordinance. The larger pond neaz Lebanon Road is dry and will be <br />backfilled with soil compacted to support construction.
