X66 <br />Chair willhoit suggested that $250,000 be put in the budget for 88-89 <br />for the media center at orange High School to be contingent upon available <br />revenues, and the money for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro projects to be included <br />in the 87-88 budget with $75,000 in the 1986-87 for the engineering anc~", <br />design work on the four projects. <br />The County's commitment for 1986-87 includes $274,000 for the Orange <br />High School expansion, $70,000 for engineering and design work for the four <br />projects at Chapel Hi11-Carrboro, and $574,000 for the multipurpose <br />projects. For 1987-88 $498,300 will be slated for Phillips' Air <br />Conditioning, $275,880 for Frank Porter Graham project and $50,000 for <br />Orange High School. For 1988-89 $250,000 for Orange High School expansion. <br />A11 projects for 1988-89 will be contingent upon available funds. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carey to authorize the acceptance of the bid for the Orange High School <br />project alternate two, and place in the 1986-87 budget enough funds for the <br />engineering work for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro School projects. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />ADDED ITEM - SURNSIDE PARK - PRELIMINARY PLAN <br />Planner Susan Smith presented for consideration of approval the <br />Preliminary Plan for Burnside Park. She noted that the official maps do not <br />show the area inundated in a recent storm as floodplain, She added that the <br />Town Planner had requested reinvestigation of the area by the Federal Flood <br />Insurance Agency. She continued that actual development of the subdivided <br />lots, if approved, would be subject to compliance with the Town of <br />Hillsborough's Zoning ordinance and Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance, <br />either of which are enforced by the County. ; '; <br />;. <br />Upon the recommendation of the Hillsborough Town Council, motion wa:..;.:~' <br />made by Chair willhoit, seconded by Commissioner Marshall to approve the <br />preliminary with six conditions: <br />1. The stream buffer requirement, as required in the recently <br />adopted Hillsborough Zoning Ordinance, must be calculated and <br />indicated on the. Final Plat. <br />2. Amend Note #5 to state the following: "Use of land within a <br />floodway or a floodway fringe is restricted by the <br />Hillsborough Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance." <br />3. Show a 25 foot building setback from the rear property line <br />as required for AR zoning districts in the Town's planning <br />jurisdiction. <br />4. The sewer line size shall be indicated on the Final Plat. <br />5. The existing water line located in the street right-of-way <br />shall be shown on the Final Plat with the size indicated. <br />6. The existing archaeological dig on lot #3 should be shown on <br />the Final Plat. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />NOTE: The remainder of the items listed on the May 5, 1986 and May 9, <br />1986 continued meeting will be continued to the May 20, 1986 meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Chairman willhoit adjourned the meeting.
