To consider changes to the landfill tipping ree wbedWe to take effect July 1, 1998 <br />BACKGROUND: The Lmdfill Owners' Croup haz recommended to its member governing boards <br />that the tipping fes for mixed wlid warm (M3W) and conatmction and demolition (C@D) <br />maerials be increased to $38 ptt ton, effective 1Wy 1, 1998. All oNer fees would remain et their <br />rrent levels. The atmchW memo from Ne LOG outlines the overall recommended fee whMule <br />and the program additions tM1et woWd be fimded with a portion of the additional revevoetbat would <br />ba genttated by the Ngher tipping fes far MSW end C&D. <br />Under terms of the 19]2landfill egrcement between Orange Cowry and Ne Towre of Chapel Hill <br />and Carrboro, all fees must be approved by each ofthe tbree boards.
