As specified in the attached draft, high school students and interns <br />would not be covered. We estimate about five to 10 temporary <br />employees would be exempted from the $8.00 an hour minimum under <br />this provision. <br />The estimated annual cost to increase temporary employee wages to <br />$8.00 an hour is approximately $18,000. <br />Recommendation: The Manager recommends the board approve the attached Personnel <br />Ordinance revision effective July 1, 1998, <br />fleWlw oc <br />June 14, 1998 <br />
