The <br />following figures are highlights taken from two of the reports: <br />The total amount of taxes collected for Ne current 1997 tax year is $64,355,313.16. This figure <br />includes all real, personal, and motor vehicle taxes collected for Orange County, twelve fire <br />districts, the Downtown Revilalivstion District, and the Chapel Hill School District The <br />ncollectcJ balance S131,059,352.00 Theperecnmge of nixes collected is 98.18 °o- The total <br />vcountof bases collected for delinquent ax years H987 -19967 is$947,690.43, Thisfigure <br />lutles all real, personal, and motor vehicle taxes collected for Orange County, twelve fire <br />districts the Downtown Revitliretlon District and the Chapel Hill School District The <br />collected balance is $874,872.65. The percentage of taxes collected for the Town ofCarrbom <br />is 97.99 %, for tee Town of Chapel Hill, 98.90%, and for the Town of Hillsborough, 94 .34% <br />
