2 <br />The Director provides leadership, organization and coordination <br />for visitor services in Orange County. This includes assessing <br />needs', recommending initiatives to allrad visitors Implementing <br />programs to promote effective visitor services, including <br />extensive communications programs and providing liaison <br />among visitor service providers. <br />The total staff size for the Visitor Bureau division now is six, with <br />the addition of the Information Specialist and Administrative <br />Assistant II positions approved in the 1 y1998 -99 budget. <br />All funding for the Visitor Bureau is generated by the two percent <br />hotel /motel occupancy tax adopted in 1998. <br />Based on the job study, Personnel is recommending the position <br />be established at Salary Grade 75 in the classification and pay <br />plan. The salary range for this grade is 542 ,257- $87,192. <br />Fortner Visitor Bureau Director, Shelly Green's flat rated salary <br />was $53,733.
