Stephens <br />TELEPHONE NUMBER: Hillsborough 732 -8181 <br />Extension 2528 <br />PURPOSE: To remove the Hyconeechea Regional Library Contract <br />agreement between the counties of Caswell, Omnge and <br />Person. <br />BACKGROUND: In 1948 Caswell, Orange and Person Counties entered into <br />an agreement as a regional library system. The contract <br />provides for each library within Hyconeechee to fnation as <br />County departments within the county Of location of each <br />respective library . Each library receives equal portions of <br />State Aid yearly, the 1998 -1999 appropriation of State Aid <br />is $125,]41. Orange Comty Finance Director serves as the <br />fiscal agent for the region He insures that disbursements <br />made on behalf of the libraries from Stare, Federal and <br />other renrictive sources are in accordance with all required <br />provisions. This 1998 -1999, warrant agreement reflects no <br />change in the content of the current 1997 -1998 contract. <br />RECOMMENDATION:. The Manager recommends that the Baud of County <br />Commdsmonas approve and authorizes the Chair to sign. <br />
