<br />~~ <br />Explanation of Dissenting Votes: <br />Those who were against approval of the rezoning felt that the applicant should go <br />through the Planned Development process. Those who favored rezoning felt that the <br />applicant should not have to go through the application process again and they did not <br />see the value of a planned development on this relatively small tract. <br />Other information and/or Citations from County regulations: <br />Chair's note: See the provisions for amending the ordinance givenin Section 20.1 <br />(Applicant does not allege error or cite chaged conditions). <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lloyd, seconded by Commissioner Carey to <br />approve the Community Commercial I11 rezoning request as submitted by James Hill for <br />0.57 acres. <br />VOTE: AYES, 4; NOES, 1 (Commissioner Marshall). <br />15. P~.,OPOSED ZONIN, G ORDINANCE TEX~A,MENDMENTS <br />(A copy of the approved amendments are in the official Ordinance Bood in the <br />office of the Clerk to the Board). <br />Planning Director Marvin Collins presented for consideration of approval the <br />following amendments to the Zoning Ordinance that were submitted to public hearing on <br />November 25, 1985: <br />(a) Zoning Ordinance, Article 5 -Establishment of Dimensional Requirements, <br />Section 5.1.2 -Schedule for Non-residential Development -revisions to <br />the floor area and open space ratios for industrial zoning districts. <br />(b) Zoning Ordinance, Article 8 SPECIAL USES -provision for the issuance of <br />a Class A Special Use Permit to accomodate requests for. modifications of <br />impervious surface requirements for property subject- to the Protected <br />Watershed II (PW-II) overlay zoning district. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lloyd, seconded by Commissioner Carey to . <br />', approve the amendments to the Zoning Ordinance as outlined above. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />16. JOB TRAINING PA~TIVERSHIP ACT -SERVICE AREA <br />County Manager Ken Thompson outlined two options for consideration in re- <br />designating SDAs for the JTPA program currently functioning in Orange County. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lloyd, seconded by Commissioner Carey to <br />remain in the current SDA between Durham and Orange. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />17. SPECIAL ASSESSMENT TO SAVE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING <br />County Manager Ken Thompson presented for consideration a request from NACo <br />fora $692 special assessment to'be used in the effort to save the federal General <br />Revenue Sharing program. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />1$.
