To preserve the status quo pending the <br />consideration of a land use ordinance amendment <br />designed to address exigent circumstances or the <br />results of a study, the Town of Carrboro or the Town of <br />Chapel Hill may propose the adoption of a development <br />moratorium pending consideraLion of the ordinance <br />amendment.
