Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for services to be performed during the FFY 99. <br />BACKGROUND: In October, 1996, the Boazd of Commissioners approved a <br />Cooperative Agreement between Orange County and HUD for athree-yeaz contract for <br />the county to receive capacity building funds to further develop its housing <br />discrimination investigation program. This contractual relation provides for HUD to pay <br />to the county $100,000.00 annually, renewable annually. This proposed agreement <br />would be the third and final installment of the original agreement for services <br />rendered in expanding the county's capacity to investigate jurisdictional housing <br />discrimination cases. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the <br />contract and authorize the Chair to sign the contract. <br />
