This was the <br />second year of such contractual relations between the parties, the first having been for a <br />partial year effective May 2, 1996. The Agreement between the parties provides for <br />reimbursement to Orange County for services rendered in the investigation of <br />jurisdictional employment discrimination cases; reimbursement for the intake and referral <br />to EEOC of non jurisdictional cases and reimbursement in the sum of $1,200 for Orange <br />County staff s attendance at EEOC sponsored, mandatory training. <br />For federal FY 97-98, the agreement provided for the payment from EEOC to Orange <br />County the sum of $21,950 which represented $20,000 for (40) cases @ $500 per; $750 <br />for (15) intakes @ $50 per and $1,200 for training. For FY 98-99 the county expects to <br />receive $32,200 which represents (60) cases @ $500 per; $1,000 for (20) intakes @ $50 <br />per and $1,200 for training. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the <br />agreement and authorize the Chair to sign the contract. <br />
