NEIGHBORHOOD INFORMATION MEETING <br />Carl and Theresa Chambers Subdivision Concept Plan <br />November 11, 1997 <br />In Attendance: Applicant: J.D. Cecil (representative); Citizens: J. W. and J. A. Spittler; <br />Staff: Emily Cameron, Don Belk. <br />Ms. Cameron opened the meeting with a background on the Flexible Development Concept Plan <br />process and the development review procedures. She explained the purpose of the neighborhood <br />information meeting. The Planning Board will consider the Carl and Theresa Chambers concept <br />plan at their December 3 meeting. She noted that a summary of the Neighborhood Information <br />Meeting will be included with the staff report to the Planning Board. <br />The developer chose to submit a single Concept Plan utilizing a Flexible Development option. <br />Mr. Cecil, of Callemyn- Parker Land Surveying and Engineering, and representative of the <br />applicant, addressed the concerns of Mr. and Mrs. Spittler, whose property is adjacent to the <br />proposed subdivision. <br />Buffers. The buffers to the adjoining properties will remain in place. <br />Flooding. An engineer will design drainage and size pipes to ensure that drainage will not <br />impact the Spittlers's lot. <br />Type of housing. It is believed that the housing type will be double -wide mobile homes or <br />modular homes. <br />Connections of driveways to the planned road. These will not affect the Spittlers's current <br />driveway. <br />Development near creek. This area is within the floodplain and cannot be subdivided or <br />developed. <br />The Carl and Theresa Chambers subdivision is the tenth major subdivision Concept Plan <br />submitted since the advent of Flexible Development. <br />Ms. Cameron and Mr. Belk thanked Mr. Cecil and Mr. and Mrs. Spittler for attending. <br />
