43
Mr. John Link
Page 2
August 19, 1998
The Orange Soil and Water Conservation District continues to provide a strong conservation program for
the citizens of Orange County. Our program could be strengthened even more by receiving input from
citizen groups, commissions, committees, and other county departments. The District Board is made up of
elected and appointed representatives from Orange County. The District Board would welcome input
through Associate Supervisors positions. The positions can be used as advisors to the board to assist them
in goal setting and determining resource priorities in the county. The District will soon be developing its
Operational Agreement with the County and other partners. This would be an ideal time for input from
the County Commissioners, local organizations, and other county departments to meet and discuss what
mutual needs and services we can provide each other.
The Conservation Partnership is committed to quality leadership and customer service for the
conservation of our natural resources. The District would like to continue to be a lead agency in
conserving our natural resources and meeting the needs of the citizens of Orange County. _
If you need any addtional information please contact the Orange Soil and Water Conservation District at
Ext. 2751.
Charles Snipes
Chairman
Attachments
