Carr Community at the <br />intersection of NC 49 and Corbett Ridge Road/Cart Store Road <br />(SR 1004) is designated as the Carr Rural Community Node. <br />Rural Community Activity Node (description) 3 <br />Land focused on designated road intersections which serves <br />as a nodal crossroads for the surrounding rural community <br />and is an appropriate location for any of the following uses: <br />church, fire station, small post office, school, or other <br />similar institutional uses and one or more commercial uses. <br />Analysis and Evaluation of the Carr Rural Community <br />Activity Node a <br />Existing land uses at this node include a s3ua11 store, a car <br />wash and single family residential units. The node is located <br />partially within the Baclr Creek watershed. Future non- <br />residential development within the watershed portion of the <br />node must adhere to the adopted zoning standards for this <br />watershed overlap district. The commercial facilities at this <br />intersection malre it a place where Ioca1 ~iteople frequentlpgo <br />to socialize as well to shop. <br />NOTE: L.J.
