Integrating current and future data into a comprehensive resource <br />database. <br />In order to accomplish the above initiative, department staff must <br />coordinate previous work with new inventories of natural, cultural and <br />recreational resources to develop a Comprehensive Resource Database. <br />This will involve a multi -level coordinated Geographic Information System <br />database that encompasses all of the County's land preservation <br />activities, with records and mapping capabilities of all activities. This <br />database will be used not only by ERCD staff, but will also help many <br />County departments that are also involved in resource conservation - <br />such as Recreation and Parks, the Soil and Water District office, and the <br />Use Value program under the direction of the Tax Assessor's office. <br />D. Providing staff support to boards and commissions. <br />There are a number of standing and ad hoc commissions or boards that <br />are working on active Commissioners goals listed in Section I.A.
