<br />d. Incorporate, modify, or replace existing public address systems to provide the sound portion <br />of telecast and documentary recordings to include playback of sound recordings during <br />presentations. Necessary improvements to the existing sound reinforcement systems will be <br />addressed. <br />e. Plan shall progress through stages of design that address the development of a budget, <br />impact of construction and installation, project timetable, evaluation and selection of appropriate <br />technology, operational requirements, and telecast logistics. <br />f. Prepare and provide the County a reports describing each aspect of the plan to include the <br />development of a budget, impact of construction and installation, project timetable, evaluation <br />and selection of appropriate technology, operational requirements, and telecast logistics. <br />g. Included in the final report shall be appropriate narrative, block diagrams, recommended <br />layout of the affected space, equipment lists, and applicable performance or interface <br />specifications, specifications for up-fit of the space to accommodate the telecasting system, and <br />vendor/contractor requirements and technical qualifications. <br />h. Prepare a single master set of documents and any necessary support materials to enable <br />Orange County to solicit bids for installation of the system(s). Assist the <br />County find qualified vendors, answer questions or respond to potential vendors seeking to bid <br />on the project, and oversee the bid review process. <br />3. COMPENSATION <br />In the event the County chooses to prepare one room for cablecasting, the County shall pay <br />MHT of North Carolina, Inc., a $12,000 consulting fee for services with an initial payment of <br />$4,000, balance due upon completion of work. In the event the County chooses to prepare two <br />rooms for cablecasting, the County shall pay MHT of North Carolina, Inc a total of $22,000, with <br />an initial payment of $7,333, balance due upon completion of work. This shall constitute the <br />complete compensation to MHT for this project. <br />4. RESPONSIBILITIES. The County shall: <br />a. Instruct its employees to cooperate with MHT of North <br />Carolinas' agents and provide information and/or documents necessary to perform the design <br />services; <br />b. Provide MHT of North Carolina, Inc with a letter of authori~, appointing M1`•IT of North <br />Carolina, Inc., the <br />County's agent in this matter, <br />c. Provide the MHT of North Carolina,-Inc., with copies of all County documents, such as <br />architectural, mechanical, electrical and other information relevant to the scope of this <br />Agreement. Generally, these are in the form of measured drawings in electronic or paper~form, <br />of the involved spaces including any relevant adjoining spaces; <br />d. Designate a project liaison to manage communications coordinate meeting schedules and <br />assume responsibility for contacting involved parties and directing <br />e. Access to the premises on apre-arranged basis for the purpose of taking measurements or <br />other tasks pertinent to the design process. <br />f. Guidelines pertinent to allowing inspection of the premises by specialists or other outside <br />parties we may elect to include in our design process. (Some consultants may be affiliated with <br />potential vendors). <br />
