Yard Waste, mulch and recyclables shall be kept in the designated area as
indicated on the June 8, 1998, revised site plan. Land within this designated
area not in use shall be seeded, repaired and maintained.
The maximum amount of recyclables for white appliances, tires and scrap
metal stored on the site at any one time shall not exceed 12 tons of white
appliances, 500 tires and 6 roll -offs for storage of scrap metal.
4. The expansion, as indicated on the June 8, 1998, revision of the original site
plan for this special use, shall be limited to an area to be used for recycling
glass and metal cans consisting of a 7,500 square foot concrete slab, two open
sheds (600 square feet and 900 square feet), and 44,000 square feet of
additional vehicular graveled surface.
The Special Use Permit will automatically expire within 12 months from the
date of approval if the use has not commenced or construction has not
commenced or proceeded unless a timely application for extension of this time
limit is approved by the Board of County Commissioners as provided in
8.4.11 of the Orange County Zoning Ordinance.
6. If any condition of this Special Use Permit shall be held invalid or void, then
this Special Use Permit shall be void in its entirety and of no effect.
RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends the County Commissioners close the Public
Hearing and approve the Class A Special Use Permit Modification per the
Planning Board recommendation.
