Jones Street, Suite 5062 <br />Raleigh, NC 27603-8003 <br />SUBJECT: Environmental Impact Assessment for <br />Lawrence Park Subdivision <br />Dear Chris: <br />This is a request to place the enclosed Application for Environmental <br />Assessment, submitted to the Orange County Planning and Inspections <br />Department, into the State Clearinghouse system for review and comment in <br />accordance with provisions of the Orange County Environmental Impact <br />Ordinance. The applicant is East West Partners Management Company, Inc. <br />The owner is Meadowmont Farms, LLC. <br />The assessment is for the proposed construction of a 244-lot subdivision on an <br />84.9-acre tract (Tax Map 5.4.6.17) owned by Meadowmont and a 1.59-acre lot <br />owned by Lonnie D. and Irene F. Bell (Tax Map No. 5.4.6.11). The subdivision is <br />located just east of the Town of Hillsborough. It will be accessed from US 70A, <br />Lawrence Road, and Lannie Drive and be supplied by Town water and sewer <br />service. <br />The entire site is currently zoned R-1 Rural Residential. The planned zoning is <br />PD-H-R3 Planned Development-Housing-Rural Residential for 237 lots and R-2 <br />Rural Residential for seven lots. Three recreation areas and a tot lot are planned <br />for the development.
