/~ - ~ ~ ~ _ `- ~` ' ` - _ r <br />_~ .~ u ' - nos <br />PETITION REPRESENTING THE RESIDENTS OF <br />OLD CHAPEL HILL-HILLSBOROUGH ROAD <br />The attatched petition represents the residents of Old Chapel <br />Hill-Hillsborough Road in their desire to change the name of <br />the road to Old Hwy 86. The reasons are as follows: <br />1. The address as it is currently written has too many characters <br />to be held by many modern computers. <br />Z. Attempts to abbreviate the address are not standard and cause <br />mail to be lost. <br />3. There is extreme difficulty in giving the address verbally over <br />the phone to companies which need to send information. <br />4. Only the residents of a 2 mile stretch of the road are <br />impacted by the address, tiie remainder of the road is called <br />Old Hwy 86. It would seem more logical to continue the <br />name to the city limits of Hillsborough to facilitate <br /> <br />emergency as well as pers anal visitors to our homes. <br />All residents are welcome and encouraged to attach personal <br />statements to this petition on notebook paper.
