3. Administrative Services. <br /> a. The Director of Emergency Services and his designees shall manage this <br /> guideline and will cause upgrades and changes when deemed necessary. This <br /> operating guideline and subsequent updates are necessary to ensure the safety <br /> and welfare of all personnel, efficient delivery of services and compliance <br /> with all requirements as established. <br /> b. The Chief of South Orange shall serve as the administrative contact point for <br /> the squad. <br /> i. Following a change of command the name of the replacement shall be <br /> provided in writing to the Director of Emergency Services within <br /> twenty-fours. <br /> ii. A notice of personnel change within the officer ranks, including board <br /> members shall be communicated in writing to the Emergency Services <br /> Director within twenty-four hours following the change of personnel. <br /> c. Personnel. No personnel will be released for field operations without approval <br /> of the Emergency Services Director or his designee. <br /> i. Monthly a roster of new candidates will be transmitted to the director <br /> accompanied with background information, training verification, <br /> driving record verification and background check submitted on the <br /> forms supplied by Orange County Emergency Services ("OCES"). <br /> ii. Following review, the director will verify a roster of approved <br /> personnel to the Chief of the Squad and OCES EMS Operations <br /> Manager to be added to the credentialed database of practitioners. <br /> iii. All squad members shall comply with the County's Comply <br /> Credentialing and Compliance Policy administered by the OCES EMS <br /> Operations Manager under the direction of the County Medical <br /> Director. <br /> iv. SORS will provide required health and safety programs including <br /> immunization, medical evaluation training, post exposure management <br /> and drug screening testing for the personnel of SORS providing <br /> services pursuant to this agreement. <br /> d. Training. The Orange County Emergency Medical Services Training Officer <br /> prior to delivery of any in-service or continuing training will approve the <br /> course prior to delivery. <br /> i. Rosters will be transmitted to the OC EMS Training Officer no more <br /> than 48 hours following delivery of the class. <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br />
