Willhoit noted the County should have first <br />priority far the use of the facilities during non-school hours. <br />Commissioner Walker questioned the need for such an agreement since <br />the School and County operate under the Comtumity School ACt. <br />In answer to Commissioner Walker's concern, Attorney Geoffrey <br />Gledh;.11 explained the statute a].laws the school to make the facilities <br />available for ccatgmmity users but does not specify the oaordination of the <br />- activities. <br />Commissioner Carey questioned Page 4, Section ll which states "the <br />- Superintendent or his designee shall inform the appropriate agent of the County <br />of scheduled school-related activities after school hours" and questioned if <br />this should be within a certain time frame to avoid conflicts. <br />Referring to Page 2, Item 4, Commissioner Marshall questioned the <br />condition of the tennis courts and noted that no obligation should be taken by <br />the County without first determining the condition of the courts. <br />The Lease/Joint Use agreement will be revised and resubmitted. <br />4. . _~M.LSST~7 FY=)R ~nT('MFT1 c,~na~m_ bvnT-r 'r'irm?(see the permanent agerr7a file <br />for copy of application) <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by Canm~issioner <br />Carey to authorize the. Ccecanission for wa~men to apply for the grant from the <br />North Carolina Council on the Status of Women to hold a one day symposium for <br />residents of Orange County interested in the home based business concepk. <br />_ v07[~: LUS. <br />Ttx~son presented for consideration and Board selection seven (7) <br />program summaries. It was the consensus of the Board to further consider at <br />their next regular meeting four (4) programs for entry into the NACo <br />caa~g~etition: <br />(1) Computerization <br />(2) Senior Citizens' Transportation System <br />(3) Improved Dental. Motion was made by Conmi.ssioner Marshall, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carey to approve the following budget amwndments: <br />(1) To budget for additional W!N Daycare revenues: <br />Appropriation-Social Services Daycare Consolidated $10,400 <br />Source-Social Services-Daycare $10,400 <br />__.
