ORD-00(o -a51 <br />4 <br />Amended Article IV, Section 15.0 Military Leave <br />15.0 Military Leave <br />15 In accordance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994, <br />its amendments and any implementing regulations, (USERRA) 38 U.S.C. 4301 et. seq., N.C. Gen. <br />Stat. 127A -116, military leave, employment, retention and reemployment rights and benefits are <br />granted to qualified military servicemembers and veterans for certain periods of service in the <br />uniformed services. <br />15.1 No agent or employee of the County shall deny an individual initial employment, reemployment, <br />retention in employment, promotion, or any benefit of employment on the basis of their <br />membership, application for membership, performance of services, application for service, or <br />obligation for service in the uniformed services. <br />15.2 The County Manager will promulgate Administrative Rules and Regulations to carry out this <br />section of the Personnel Ordinance. <br />
