is <br />Orange Unified Transportation Board <br />PO Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Memorandum <br />Date: August 15, 2007 <br />To: Orange County Board of County Commissioners <br />Orange County Planning Board <br />From: Robert Peterson, Chair <br />Sam Lasris, Vice Chair <br />Orange Unified Transportation Board <br />Subject: Comments Regarding the County Profile (Data Element) <br />for the Orange County Comprehensive Plan <br />At its meeting on August 15, 2007, the Orange Unified Transportation Board <br />(OUT Board) reviewed the Draft Goals and the Draft County Profile for the <br />Comprehensive Plan Update. The Board unanimously agreed that the <br />Socioeconomic (SE) data and projections of the Durham - Chapel Hill - Carrboro <br />Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC MPO) that will be used for <br />regional transportation planning for years 2005 - 2035 should be included in <br />the Orange County Profile -in addition to projections already included in that <br />document. The DCHC MPO Lead Planning Agency anticipates that the <br />Transportation Advisory Committee will approve the SE data at its meeting <br />September 12. <br />
