L1INIJTE~ <br />notion was made by Conm:issioner rlarshall, seconded by Commissioner <br />Lloyd to approve the clay 29, 1954 public hearing minutes as presented. <br />VOTE : UP]AP7Ir40US <br />notion was made by Commissioner rlarshall, seconded by Commissioner <br />tAalker to approve the 1•Iay 29, 1984 special meeting minutes as presented. <br />VOTE: UPIAA'Irl0U5 <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lloyd, seconded by Commissioner <br />rlarshall to approve the June 18, 184 public hearing minutes as presented. <br />VOTE: UNANII~"_OUS <br />D. REPDRTS • <br />1. IR'TfiODUCTIOtd OF $kiSCjl,~ SQUAD ,CHIEFS <br />Bobby Baker, Director of Emergency Services, introduced the two <br />rescue squad chiefs who were ne~ly elected this year: <br />Chief Carol Lorenz - Orange County Rescue Squad <br />Chief Ray Defriess - South Orange Rescue Squad <br />Chief Lorenz handed out information which illustrated the type of <br />information distributed to the community and an outline of the past <br />accomplishments and future goals for the squad. She indicated the Squad has <br />contributed in excess of 25,000 person hpurs per year and expressed <br />appreciation for the continued support of the Orange County Rescue Squad. <br />Chief Defriess spoke on behalf of the South Orange Rescue Squad <br />indicating that the two Squads are very similar. He commended the Eoard for <br />their support of the EMS and for providing leadership and traininr, to <br />maintain a first class operation. <br />Commissioner I•dillhoit or. behalf of the Soard commended the life- <br />sa+uads far their continued work. <br />2. ~PPEAP.ANCE SLIDE PAE,j~lZTATION <br />Fonrose Gore, Homz economist from the Agricultural E;;tension <br />Service, rave a slide presentation er_titlea "The Orange Choice" which is a <br />visual appearance positive image program for Drange County. She complimented <br />the Board for adcressing the issue of the visual appearance and natural <br />environment of our area as grovrth is taking place.
