The biggest item is the class size <br />reduction in grades 4-6. <br />Both Dr. Lunsford and Dr. Mayer indicated that the present class <br />size is 1-30. This reduction in class size would, if extra funding becomes <br />available, need to be used to hire teachers and in Chapel Hill additional <br />teacher aides. <br />Dr. Lunsford made the following comments about the state <br />allocation: <br />1.
