Commissioner Gordon said that the County created this committee to help provide expertise in information technology because, back when the committee was created a number of years ago,the County had not yet hired staff with all the necessary expertise. Commissioner Jacobs said that he strongly agrees with Commissioner Yuhasz and that this committee should focus on emerging technologies. He also thinks that there should be some association with the Economic Development function -either a subcommittee or joint meetings periodically with the EDC. Commissioner Yuhasz said that this committee is interested in continuing, but it needs more focus. Commissioner Gordon spoke in support of the emerging technologies focus. Commissioner Pelissier said that the question is where this group belongs since the IT Director is focused on internal technology functions. She suggested that it might belong more under Economic Develo ment. N �
