New Homestead Pool and re-opening of Chapel Hill
Community Pool negatively impacted overall public swimming and lane rentals.
•Offsetting the above was significant growth in swimming lessons and programs. New classes have
been added during the week and weekends with excellent results.
•With new roof top air quality units; better trained staff; upgi aded water guality
procedures/equipment plus newly up fitted filters has resulted in best water and air quality ever.
•Conservative revenue budget given Triangle and County wide pool competition. We will act
aggressively to grow pool revenues with new fun activities for public swim sessions; new Swiin
Team; additional group swim class offerings; introduction of private lessons and small group
training.
