He <br /> said that he has heard that UNC is disappointed that they have not been included in this <br /> process yet. <br /> Steve Spade said that UNC is part of the public transit committee. He said that when <br /> they started working on the planning process, they thought that staff was taking in the needs <br /> of the University. The University's concern is that it is seeing longer trips out of Durham and <br /> Raleigh, and about 30% of their employees live in either Chatham or Alamance Counties. He <br /> said that one of the challenges is to get the UNC policymakers to the table with the elected <br /> officials. <br /> Frank Clifton said that he would like to know UNC's perspective. <br /> Steve Spade said that UNC is the key with 60% of the funding and 80% of the <br /> ridership. <br />
