Schematic Desiqn Presentation, Link Center Phase 2 — Commissioners' Meetinq Room <br /> Ken Redfoot of Corley Redfoot Zack, Inc. presented a PowerPoint regarding the second <br /> phase of the Link Government Services Center Renovation in Hillsborough. <br /> In March, 2010, County representatives went on a two-day tour of similar facilities in Cary, <br /> Wake County, Durham County, City of Durham, Forsyth County, and Chapel Hill. <br /> N.C. Pharmacy Board Hearing Room <br /> - Primarily used for disciplinary hearings <br /> - 7 years in service <br /> - No dais <br /> - All movable seating for approx. 100 <br /> - Functional desk area <br /> - Separate overflow viewing room <br /> Cary Town Council Chambers <br /> - Primarily used for Council meetings, but also rented for community events <br /> - Low dais (7" high) <br /> - All fixed seating for approx. 300 <br /> - Very theatrical setting <br /> - Dual presentation podiums, close proximity <br /> - Private Board chambers adjacent <br /> Wake County Board Chambers <br /> - Primarily used for Board meetings <br /> - Renovated from a former courtroom <br /> - Moderate dais (12" high) <br /> - All fixed seating for approx. 200 <br /> - Low ceilings/effective lighting for broadcast <br />
