Town <br />Of <br />f!IIIS <br />M <br />419&1 Ib" Of H&bmWh <br />March 18, 2010 <br />Commissioner Valerie Foushee, Chair <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />P.O.Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Dear Commissioner Foushee, <br />The Town of Hillsborough received the request from the Orange County Planning staff to <br />support the pending amendments to the county watershed protection standards and related <br />amendments. <br />Attachment 42 9 <br />The Town appreciates the County's continuing efforts and assistance in protecting the drinking <br />water quality for customers of the Town of Hillsborough system through the regulation of land <br />uses in the vicinity of all drinking water supply reservoirs in Orange County. The Town's two <br />primary water sources are both located outside the town's zoning authority and are not required <br />to have protection under the State's minimum requirements.
