March 3, 2010 Planning Board Abstract <br />and Attachments <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Craig Benedict, Director 245 -2592 <br />Perdita Holtz, Planner III 245 -2578 <br />PURPOSE: To make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) on <br />the County initiated amendments to certain Sections of the Zoning Ordinance, the Zoning Atlas, <br />and Chapter 5 of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan Land Use Element Text and Map. Specifically, <br />the following portions of the Zoning Ordinance text are proposed for amendment: <br />• Section 4.2.27 (Watershed Protection Overlay Districts) <br />• Section 6.23.3 (Stormwater Infiltration and Detention) <br />• Article 22 (Definitions) <br />Application of the text amendments will result in changes to the Watershed Protection Overlay <br />District boundary depicted on the official Zoning Atlas and on the Land Use Element Map of the <br />2030 Comprehensive Plan. The proposed text changes to the Zoning Ordinance are included in <br />Attachment 1; this text includes the excluded area north West Ten Road as discussed (and <br />voted upon in a "straw vote ") at the March Planning Board meeting. For your use and <br />information, Attachment 7 is the March Planning Board abstract and attachments. <br />BACKGROUND: Please see Attachment 7 for more in -depth Background. At the March <br />Planning Board meeting, the Board conducted a "straw vote" on the majority of criteria that <br />comprise the proposed Critical Area to determine how the Board wished to proceed with this <br />item.
