... 4. 33 <br />General Engineering and Environmental Management Services <br />Wake County, North Carolina <br />HDR is providing engineering consulting services to Wake County <br />through a General Services contract which includes a multitude of <br />projects within the Wake County Environmental Services system and the <br />Wake County Facilities Design and Construction group. HDR has <br />provided consulting services with the closure of the North Wake Landfill, <br />the procurement and operation of the City of Raleigh Transfer Station <br />operations and hauling contractor, environmental assessment of the <br />closed East Wake Landfill, and assistance with establishment and <br />operation of the South Wake Landfill — Phase 1 B. Project activities <br />include assistance with: <br />4- <br />• Review of closure of construction documents prepared by others. Key Elements. <br />• Oversight of the Phase 1 B construction including review of the construction, w Contract procurement <br />construction submittals and CQA documentation. • Operational assistance <br />• Consulting relating to soil planning and uses for the long -term needs of the ' Construction oversight <br />South Wake Landfill <br />• Preparation of airspace management reports. <br />• Evaluation of South Wake Landfill waste capacity options. <br />• Preparation of contract between the County, the City of Raleigh, and waste hauling contractor. <br />• Review of transfer station construction documents and construction progress. <br />• Assistance with scale house operations such as intercom and security systems. <br />HDR, as a teaming partner with Olver, Inc., assisted Wake County with the establishment and operation of the South <br />Wake Landfill (SWLF) — Phase 1A located in Holly Springs, NC. Project activities include: <br />■ Assistance with managing the operations portion of the Agreement. <br />Additional work associated with the SWLF included coordination with Waste <br />Industries and the contractor regarding construction materials and activities including <br />other projects and operations at the site.
