He calculates required space for
• MRF Design
tipping, processing and material storage. In addition he works with
• Construction Management
municipalities to analyze the economics of their recycling processing
• Material R
Recycling Research
options, including hauling and limited processing. He will also research new
material markets for individual facilities to pursue. Aaron works with civil
• Recycling Market Studies
engineers to design the utilities, grading and site layouts. He applies for
• Conceptual MRF Expansion
state operating licenses for new facilities. For MRF expansion projects, he
Plans
writes equipment and building specifications, manages RFPs and writes
• Solid Waste Processing
recommendations. He is also RRS's lead CAD technician group.
Licenses
For compost facilities, Aaron models facility viability, overall capacity and
• Compost Facility Design
operating expenses. He specifies new equipment to purchase. He develops
operating plans that manage costs, odors, equipment and labor. He
• Compost Facility Operating
designs new facilities and oversees their construction, interfacing between
Plans
contractors and municipalities.
• Photovoltaic System Design
Before working with RRS, Aaron sold, designed and installed grid -tie
• PV Installer
photovoltaic systems. He also oversaw and installed ground water and soil
remediation systems for contaminated gas stations, dry cleaners and other
• Hydrologic Modeling
sites. He modeled rivers, ground water, and sediment transport and
presented a paper at the United States Geophysical Union Conference.
CERTIFICATIONS
Aaron leads the RRS Carbon Management team, along with his duties as
the Project Manager for projects including those requiring Enterprise Fund
Compost Operator Training —
analysis.
Completed 2006 in Michigan
N Certified
Photovoltaic Installer —
REPRESENTATIVE PR03ECT EXPERIENCE
Passed 2005 in California
Solar Proiects Coordinator
Engineer In Training -
Oct 2004 — Oct 2005
EIT /FE — Passed 2002 in
Sustainable Technologies — Alameda, CA
Colorado
Solar Projects
-Sold over $250,000 in projects
EDUCATION
- Coordinated all parts of grid -tie PV projects from 2kW —
13.5kW systems
Colorado School of Mines ,
- Designed system based on power usage, energy prices
Golden, Colorado, Major:
and required voltages
Engineering with Electrical
Environmental Construction
Specialty, Minor: Public Affairs
- Prepared bids for projects totaling $150,000
(McBride Honors Program),
-Chose equipment based on engineering specifications
G.P.A. 3.77/4.0, Graduated: Dec
- Participated in numerous groundwater treatment and soil
2002
vapor extraction system installations
Hydrologist
SPECIALPR03ECT WORK
Nov 1999 — Oct 2005
Haiti Solar Project — EWB
United States Geological Survey — Lakewood, CO
Aug 2003 — Apr 2005
Computational Modeling
Rural School Electrification
- Programmed hydrologic models in C + +, FORTRAN and
- Designed and installed
other scripting languages
battery- backup PV system for
- Designed algorithm to determine depth of water from
school in rural Haiti
LiDAR (Light Distancing and Ranging) waveforms
- Designed structure to hold 55
-Co- author on paper presenting research of flow over 2D
solar modules using mostly
and 3D dune shapes
locally available materials
- Presented results at American Geophysical Union
- Coordinated shipping of
Conference in December 2004
materials and trip logistics
RRS www.recycle.com Resumes
