North Carolina, <br /> recognize a great need to control soil erosion and sedimentation and those . <br /> activities which result in erosion and sedimentation within Orange County• <br /> and within areas affecting the county; and <br /> WHEREAS, the North Carolina General Assembly, through Chapter 392 of the <br /> Session Laws of North Carolina,- 1973, and other laws, has delegated to <br /> local governments the power to control such erosion and sedimentation; and I <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County Commissioners desire to exercise such power: <br /> I <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the County Commissioners of Orange <br /> County, North Carolina.
