Smart Start Program <br /> Grant Project Ordinance <br /> Be it ordained by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners that pursuant to Section 13.2 <br /> of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the following grant project is hereby <br /> adopted. <br /> Section 1. The project authorized is the Smart Start Program as awarded to the Orange County <br /> Departments of Social Services, Health, Library and Cooperative Extension by the <br /> State of North Carolina and the Orange County Partnership for Young Children <br /> (OCPYC). <br /> Section 2. theegrant document, and the rules eand d t <br /> regulations of the State of North Carolina. <br /> project within <br /> Carolina <br /> Section 3. The following revenue is anticipated to be available to complete this project: <br /> $1,691,917 <br /> Total DSS related Smut Start Revenue $1,578,792 <br /> Total Health related Smart Start Revenue $38,286 <br /> Total Ubtaty related Smut Start Revenue $973L7 <br /> Total Cooperative Extension related Smart Start Revenue $3,406,722 <br /> Total Stuart Start Revenue $69,075 <br /> Transfer from General Farad(200405) 811,980 <br /> Transfer from General Fund(2005-06) S18,2 <br /> 79 <br /> Transfer from General Fund(2006-07) S18, <br /> 646 <br /> Transfer from General Fund(2007-08) $117,980 <br /> Total from General Fund $3,524,702 <br /> Total Revenue <br /> Section 4. The following prior years' grant funds have lapsed: <br /> $1,511,092 <br /> Total Expired DSS related Smart Start $485,649 <br /> Total Expired Health related Smart Start $10,721 <br /> Total Expired Libray related Smart Start 9$ 7.727 <br /> Total Expired Cooperative Extension related Smart Start $2,105,189 <br /> Total Expired Smart Start Grant Funds <br /> Section 5. The following amounts remain appropriated for this project: <br /> 4180,825 <br /> Human Services - DSS $1,211,123 <br /> Human Services - Health 2$ 7,565 <br /> Human Services-Library $1,419,513 <br /> Total Unexpired Smart Start Funding <br /> Section 6. The Finance Officer is hereby directed to maintain within the grant project fund <br /> sufficient specific detailed accounting records to provide the accounting to the grantor <br /> agency required by the grant agreement and federal and state regulations. <br />
