Authorize completion of State grant documents to receive; <br /> Amount Source Granting Program <br /> $12,736 Federal Low Income Energy Assistance Family Planning <br /> f $19,046 Federal Jobs Bill Maternal and Child Health <br /> $31,782 <br /> B. The Board has as a major objective to increase health education to prevent health <br /> problems. <br /> 2. Carr Mill Office has no functional typewriter. <br /> 3. With the loss of this CETA worker we would return to clinic crises management in <br /> Hillsborough. <br /> 4. Needed to achieve our service and fee goals. <br /> 5. The County budget eliminated all conference, training and much of the necessary <br /> local travel for MCH and Epidemiology staff. <br /> 6. Our old second hand radios are becoming unrepairable. Without radios we would <br /> have to discontinue the well program. <br /> 7. To replace a nourepairable typewriter. <br /> 8. The County Manger did not recommend this purchase with County money in the spirit <br /> of "if the State wants (requires) this, then let the State pay for it." These, <br /> then, are State funds to begin the purchasing of equipment necessary to implement <br /> the required patient record system. <br /> IMPACT: The needs as set by the Board of Health will be addressed, the department will <br /> function betLsr and the computerization money will resolve the problem in one office . <br /> j RECOMMENDATICrN: Obtain and utilize the supplemental funds as requested by the Board of Heait•r <br /> i <br /> i <br /> j <br />
