541 <br /> i - <br /> i NORTH CAROLINA <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this _ 'day of , <br /> 1983 and by and between the Town of Chapel gill, a municipal <br /> corporation ("The Town") and Orange County, a body politic <br /> and corporate ("The County") . <br /> WHEREAS, the County operates a computerized land <br /> i records information system anj wishes to make a terminal <br /> available for public use in Southern Orange County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Town is willing to make space available <br /> for such a terminal in the Town Hall under the circumstances <br /> set forth below; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and <br /> mutual promises <br /> follows: set forth below, the parties agree as <br /> 1. The Town shall provide suitable space in the Chapel <br /> Hill Town Hall for the location of a terminal for the <br /> exclusive use of Orange County in connection with a land <br /> records information system. This shall be a location easily <br /> accessible to the public. The terminal shall be available <br /> to the public for land record inquiry during all hours of <br /> the normal business day. 'The Town shall provide a suitable <br /> table, chairs, lighting, beating and cooling of space and <br /> janitorial services. The Town shall take reasonable steps <br /> to insure the safety of the equipment and provide reasonable <br /> assistance to first time users who have completed initial <br /> training. This traning is to be provided by the County in a <br /> tixllsborough location. Town employees are not expected to <br /> operate the terminal or produce information fot the public, <br /> but are to provide assistance to public users. <br /> 2.
