48 F <br />s <br />Chair, Chapel Hill/Carrboro School Board; and- Veola Insko, member Chapel <br />Hill/Carrboro School Board, agreed: <br />1) to establish a task force to assess alternative sources of finning <br />the capital needs of each school system with consideration of both long and <br />shorter range goals, and <br />2) to place the charge to be given to the Task Force on the Agenda for <br />the first meeting in August. <br />E-10. Noise ordinance: The first reading of the Noise Ordinance was <br />moved by Norman Walker; seconded by Don Willhoit with a proposed effective date <br />of August 15, 1983. VOTE: Ayes; ~ <br />E-11. ~QD~~~: After some discussion of the process by <br />which the requests for proposals for the jail medical contract had been <br />solicited and evaluated, and with the assurance from the County Manager that he <br />felt comfortable that each applicant had been given adequate information fror^ <br />which to prepare proposals. Don Willhoit moved and Shirley E. Marshall <br />seconded awarding the contract to the Hillsborough Family Medical Clinic for 1 <br />year with the authorization for the Chairman to sign the contract. Marshall seconded, awarding the contract for the preparation of <br />water/sewer extension and reservior development feasibility studies in Cheek <br />Township to the John R. McAdams Company. VOTE: Ayes; 4 <br />E-13. APPOTPZ'~'j9ENT5 <br />Health Board recommended the appoint of Robert Rhyne to a three year <br />term on the Health Board. Rhyne (3); Dlurphy (1). <br />Orange County Planning Board -~ advertise. <br />Chapel Hi11 Planning Board: Appointed Don Fransico (~)-(0). <br />Orange County Domiciliary Home Advisory Committee recommended the <br />appointment of Rebecca Ringer, Eva Salbor, Adele Thomas, and William Meeke <br />which left 3 vacancies--2 for administrators as required by law and 1 for <br />better geographical coverage. <br />A.B.C.
