2. <br /> 3• <br /> 4• Mr. Cooper expressed his displeasure with the Board's and <br /> 59 Staff's explanation and accused the County of having "an unholy <br /> 6. alliance"-with Village Cable. <br /> 7• The Board reached a consensus that the Manager should recon- <br /> cile the differing figures provided by Village, Alert and the County <br /> 911 and to continue with current research to determine if the area <br /> 10• can be served under the franchise agreement with Village. Commissioner <br /> 11. Willhoit also suggested that the County proceed with the canvassing. <br /> 12, of the area to see how many potential subscribers are there. <br /> 13• This will return to the May 17th agenda. <br /> 14• 4. WILD ANIMAL CONTROL <br /> 15. Commissioner Marshall moved, seconded by Commissioner Whitted, <br /> 16• to approve on .second reading those portions of the Ordinance Rig- <br /> 17, <br /> ulatin the- Keeping of Wild Animals Dangerous to Persons and Property <br /> 18. Within Orange_ County which were amended on April 5th. <br /> 19• Dr. Vickers Burdette questioned the inspection fee schedule, <br /> 20• saying she doesn't understand it and that it is illogical . Staff <br /> 21• wa.s requested to clarify the fee/inspection schedule and report to the <br /> 22, Board on that issue. <br /> 23• Mr. Bob ' Mahler, attorney for Lynn Murdock, questioned the number <br /> �4• of animals registered by Mr. Tim Greene; he suggested that perhaps Mr. <br /> �5• Greene had registered more animals than he actually owns in order to <br /> 26. expand his business later. He added that Dr. Kelly of the USDA was <br /> �7° present in the audience this evening and that if Mr. Greene does have <br /> 28. his animals travelling in circuses it is an illegal activity. <br /> 29. Mr. Geoffrey Gledhill , County .Attorney, said in his opinion, <br /> 30• Mr. Greene could get a permit only for those animals actually in Orange <br /> 31• County on the date his compound was inspected. <br /> 32• Due to' the confusion about the fee/inspection schedule, Commissioner <br /> 33• W-illhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Lloyd,- to table Commissioner <br /> 34• Marshall 's motion to approve the second reading of the amended portions <br /> 35• of the Ordinance Regulating the Keeping of Wild Animals Dangerous to <br /> 36• Persons and Property Within Orange County. <br /> 37• Vote to table: Ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br /> 38• In order to expedite the meeting the Board chose to consider other <br /> 39. <br /> 40. <br />
