Value-Added Processing <br />Center Capital Project <br />Ordinance <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Clarence Grier, (919) 245-2453 <br />PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant and capital project ordinance amendments for Fiscal <br />Year 2009-10. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation <br />1. The Parks and Recreation division has received a $5,000 donation from the Trailheads <br />Organization. This organization co-sponsored an event at the Little River Regional Park <br />in January 2010. The department will use these funds to offset future capital expenses <br />associated with Little River Park. (See Aftachmenf 1, column 1) <br />Economic Development <br />2. The Arts Commission has received notification of a decrease in the County's State Arts <br />Grant allocation totaling $1,778. This change, attributed to State budget cuts, will <br />decrease the amount available for state artist grants from $35,559 to $33,781 for the <br />remainder of the current fiscal year. (See Aftachmenf 1, Column 2) <br />Department on Aging <br />3. The Department on Aging's Senior Health Coordination Program has received additional <br />revenue for the following programs: <br />
