P1N 9749-50-0366 -please see attached map for more detail): FROM: Rural Residential One (R-1) TO: Neighborhood Commercial Two (NC-2) According to the application filed by Mr. Davis, the properly is approximately 2.04 acres in area and is currently split zoned, with approximately 1.36 acres of the property zoned Rural Residential One (R-1) and the retnainiuxg porfion zoned Neighborhood Commercial Two (NC-2). There is an existing shucture on the commercially zoned portion of property that is used to support a general retail operation. Within the application, Mr. Davis justifies the rezoning request staffing that the septic system, and required repair area, supporting the existing commercial operation is located on the portion of property that is currently zoned residential. Mr. Davis is concerned about his continued ability to have a septic system supporting his commercial operation located on the residentially zoned portion of property and is seeking to rectify the problem. The Orange County Board of Commissioners and Planning Board have scheduled a JOINT PUBLIC HEARING for Monday May 24, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Department of Social Services, within the Hillsborough Commons Shopping Center, located at 113 Mayo Street Hillsborough, North Carolina to review and solicit input on this request.
