APSM /5-.L <br /> 10/1/82 <br /> .1136 FUNDS FOR -ASSAULTIVE C41LDREN <br /> (a) In furtherance of-,the Appropriation Bill of the 1.981 <br /> Session Laws, Chapter 859 and Chapter 1032, the division shall <br /> administer a program of grants for the establishment and operation <br /> of local programs to provide treatment to children under the age <br /> of 18 who suffer from emotional, mental, or neurological handicaps <br /> accompanied by violent or assaultive behavior and who have been <br /> certified as Willie M. class members in the case of Willie M., <br /> et. al. vs. Hunt et. al. The focus of these programs may include, <br /> but are not limited to, residential treatment programs and independent <br /> living arrangements. <br /> (b) Programs operated by an area program or a private program <br /> contracted by the area program may spend funds for assaultive <br /> children for the following: <br /> (1) staffing; <br /> (2) travel: <br /> (3) supplies; <br /> (4) utilities; <br /> (5) . administrative and program equipment; <br /> (6) administrative cost which can be clearly documented; <br /> (7) transportation of clients; <br /> (8) other program needs as approved by the division; and <br /> (9) purchase, construction and/or alteration, improvement, <br /> or repair of a facility according to the following <br /> provisions: <br /> (A) A request for alteration or repair of an existing <br /> facility of five thousand dollars ($5,000) or less <br /> shall be submitted to the appropriate regional <br /> office of the division for approval. <br /> (B) A request for alteration or improvement- of an <br /> existing facility in excess of five thousand <br /> dollars ($5,000) shall be forwarded to the <br /> division controller's office through the <br /> appropriate regional office of the division for <br /> approval. <br /> (C) A request for construction of a new facility or <br /> purchase of an existing facility shall be forwarded. <br /> to the divison controller's office through the <br /> appropriate regional office of the division for . <br /> approval. <br /> (D) Each request as outlined in (b) (9) (B) and (C) of <br /> this Rule shall be accompanied by a narrative that <br /> explains the need for the purchase, construction, <br /> alteration, improvement or repair of the facility <br /> and a copy of the schematic drawings and specifications. <br /> If approved by the Division of Mental Health, <br /> Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services <br /> these drawings and specifications shall be forwarded <br /> to the Division of Facility Services for review <br /> and approval_ <br /> EFFECTIVE: October 1, 1982(Technical Correction in (b) (9) (D) eff. 11/1/8;. <br /> SUPERSEDES: Rule .1136 (11/6/81 publication date) in Section 25 <br /> of APSM 75--1 <br /> OPR: Controller, Controller's Office <br /> DISTRIBUTION: C <br />
