Granville County Economic Development <br />MISSION: The Granville Economic Development <br />Commission works to provide quality employment <br />opportunities for our citizens while creating capital <br />investment. We strive to serve our existing industries <br />and recruit new companies to our diversified corporate <br />base. <br />STAFF: 1 - Executive Director <br />STRUCTURE: Non - profit <br />- FUNDING: <br />• Granville County - provides 2/3 of <br />budget, $134,616 for FY09 -10 <br />• City of Oxford - provides 1/3 of budget <br />ABOUT: The purpose of the organization is to promote <br />economic development in Franklin, Granville, Vance and <br />Warren counties by developing a new industrial park in <br />each county with a tax sharing agreement between the <br />four counties. <br />STRUCTURE: 501(c)3 <br />FUNDING: Granville County - $36,000 for FY09 -10 <br />ABOUT: Downtown Oxford Economic Development <br />Corporation was organized to stimulate downtown <br />economic development in Oxford, North Carolina while <br />preserving the historical character of the business <br />district and immediately surrounding areas. <br />STRUCTURE: 501(c)3 <br />FUNDING: Granville County - $20,000 for FY09 -10 <br />
