27 <br />If the Hillsboro museum got it, they would need publicfprivate partnership <br />Vision of Heritage Center- Educational and Cultural center of Orange County including art, literature. <br />Who is collecting todat/s things? <br />Heritage center a wonderful addition to cultural tourism. Currently not one single repository... need for <br />an archival unit. <br />If the Heritage Center was placed under library it would create havoc as it would take precedent over the <br />Carrboro library... which was promised in 1996 <br />The one skill not at the table during this evaluation was an archivist. <br />A business plan was needed to "separate the enthusiasm from the facts." Scope <br />document was produced. Showed~who had what. Who was willing to give what. <br />After surveying aII the agencies it would be a "waste of money to build building <br />for copies of copies," need to scan and provide digitally. <br />No need to add ANOTHER NON-PROFIT. <br />This could be done only if economically sustainable. <br />It has a possible economic function. Feels they will find more materials once opened. <br />
