2 <br />HDR Engineering, Inc. was selected due to: <br />• the depth and breadth of experience and technical expertise of the proposed project <br />team <br />• highly positive recommendations of current North Carolina clients <br />• successful performance and experience of the firm with North Carolina regulators <br />• demonstrated innovation and commitment to sustainable practices and principles <br />• successful interview and thorough responses to assessment team inquiries <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Sufficient funds to cover anticipated expenditures are available in the <br />current FY2009 -10 budget and requested in the FY2010 -11 requested budget of the Solid <br />Waste Enterprise Fund. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the three -year <br />agreement with HDR Engineering, Inc. of the Carolinas for engineering services and authorize <br />the Chair to sign the agreement. <br />
