Ms. <br />Trulock served as EECBG application and alternative funding sources lead on this project. <br />The pin-pose of this project was to assist Volusia County as it relates to positioning for <br />federal funding. HDR facilitated an informal strategic planning and visioning-session aimed <br />at enhancing Volusia Countys competitive position for current and future federal funding. <br />Specific services included coordinating a workshop with County staff, developing an <br />agenda, moderating the workshop, and preparing a white paper for County staff to use after <br />the workshop in the development of the EECS. <br />Greenhouse Gas Management and Monitoring Plan, Charlotte County, FL. Project <br />Manager. Ms. Trulock is currently serving as Project Manager for the development of a <br />Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management and Monitoring Plan for Charlotte Countys Zemel <br />Road Landfill. On September 22, 2009, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued <br />a final rule for mandatory reporting of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) from large GHG emissions <br />sources in the United States. Under EPAs Mandatory GHG Reporting Rule (Reporting <br />Rule), owners or operators of municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills that accepted waste on <br />or after January 1, 1980 and generate methane (CH4) in amounts equal to 25,000 metric tons <br />of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) or more per year must report GHG emissions from <br />MSW landfills. The Plan will address requirements laid out in the Reporting Rule, and will <br />include templates for data collection as well as calibration schedules for equipment. <br />Miami -Dade County Solid Waste Master Plan, Miami -Dade County, FL. Assistant Task <br />Leader. Ms. Trulock is currently serving as an Assistant Task Leader. In mid -2009 HDR was <br />retained by Miami -Dade County to prepare a long -term Solid Waste Master Plan for the <br />Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM). Phase I consists of evaluating DSWMs <br />facilities & identifying future needs; performing a Waste Composition Study; determining <br />solid waste generation rates & making projections; defining regulatory & policy issues; <br />evaluating the DSWMs financial program & identifying issues; identifying preliminary <br />alternatives; and performing a fatal flaw analysis. Another task is the establishment and <br />conduct of a citizen Solid Waste Advisory Committee and facilitation of a public input and <br />advisory process. Tasks for Phase II will depend on the results of Phase I, but will consist of <br />a detailed analysis of alternatives identified, implementation strategies and cost projections. <br />Ms. Trulock is currently assisting with the Task to evaluate current and future solid waste <br />management needs. In this role, she is responsible for assessing the Countys Solid Waste <br />Management Collection System and Recycling and Diversion Program, evaluating capacity, <br />identifying deficiencies, and potential options for further evaluation. She is also responsible <br />for assisting in the development of needs projections. <br />PET Sheet Production Study, National Association for PET Container Resources. <br />Project Manager. Ms. Trulock is currently serving as Project Manager for this study on <br />behalf of NAPCOR and the NAPCOR Thermoformers Council. The purpose of the study is <br />to conduct a survey with respect to the production of PET thermoformed packaging, and the <br />amount of recycled content incorporated in that packaging, in the United States and Canada. <br />This information will be used to provide a baseline by which a recycling rate for this <br />packaging can be calculated in the future. <br />Plastic Bottle Recycling Rate Study, Association of Post - consumer Plastic Recyclers. <br />Project Manager. This annual project quantifies the amount of post- consumer PET plastic <br />bottles recycled each year. Ms. Trulock has served as project manager for this project for the <br />last several years. Her responsibilities include designing and updating the database, <br />organizing and performing the mail -out, tracking surveys returned by mail, organizing <br />follow -up, reviewing completed surveys, organizing data entry, performing quality control <br />and logic checks, and developing a summary report of findings. <br />Rapid City, SD Solid Waste Management Plan, Rapid City, SD.
