<br />Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Walker to jointly
<br />proclaim with the Mayors of Chapel Mill-Carrboro and Hillsborough, Monday,
<br />November 29, 1982, Sheriff Buck Knight Day in Orange County. (A copy of that
<br />Joint Proclamation is on Page 9~of this book.) Vote: Ayes, 5; Noes, 0.

<br />Commissioner Walker moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, to approve
<br />the addition of Carriage Trail, Surry Trail, Buckboard Drive, Stagecoach Drive
<br />and Landeau Drive in 5trayhorn Hills Subdivision, to the State Secondary Road
<br />System. Vote: Ayes, 5; Noes, 0.

<br />Commissioner Walker moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, to approve
<br />the petition for Mace Road, SR 1304, to be accepted to the Participatory Paving
<br />Program effective March 1, 1982.. Vote: Ayes, 5; Nves, 0.

<br />D-7. OLD COURTHOUSE GRANT
<br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, to accept
<br />the grant of $4,000 from the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources to
<br />help with the costs of architectural services on the renovation of the Old
<br />„ Courthouse. Vote: Ayes, 5; Noes, 0.
<br />,~ D-8. JAIL CHANGE ORDERS
<br />;~ The Manager told the Board these were orders for $1,330 to remove plaster
<br />~~ from brick walls (similar to the change orders approved October 25, 1982) and
<br />~~ for $276 to install a door which would provide access to the maintenance equip-
<br />3, ment on the roof of the jail. Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Com-
<br />~~ missioner Marshall, to approve both change orders as recommended by the Manager's
<br />~~ Office. Vote: ayes, 5; Noes, 0.
