Ford (those findings of fact and attached conditions axe <br /> I <br /> on page of this hook). <br /> Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Comni.sssimer Whitted, to close the <br /> ;public hearing to receive the Planning Board rec datic.n on the Class A Special <br /> Use Permits for Duke Power Company and William C. Ford. Vote: Ayes, 5; noes,.0. <br /> The Board then discussed, in order, the requests f=oam Duke Power Canpany and <br /> William C. Ford. <br /> Mr. Polatty told the Board of Commissioners that Planning Staff thought 'Duke <br /> Power company should have as one of its conditions for the Planned'Development <br /> it was requesting, sewer hookups. He added that the Planning Board agreed that <br /> it was desirable but if it was not possible that Duke Power should be allowed to <br /> complete the building on a Special Use Permit basis with a septic tank and be <br /> required to tap onto public sewer line when such a line is within 300 'feet. 7he <br /> Staff rationale for its reconvendation was the high intensity of use in the area. <br /> Mr. John Kincaid, District Manager of Duke Power Company, responded with the follow- <br /> i <br /> ing points: 1) it is desirable that the sewer line be extended however, the office <br /> complex will have low useage and it is unfair to request Duke to bear the entire <br /> 4' <br /> cost of the sewer line extension; 2) Duke was willing to contribute a share of the <br /> ;cost in a cooperative effort; and; 3) it is physically impossible to get the sewer <br /> i <br /> pine in by the time Duke Power would need it if the Special Use Permit is granted. <br /> ;The Commissioners agreed with Duke Power and did not include extension of•the sewer <br /> in the stipulations.. <br /> Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Marshall, to approve <br /> 'the Planning Board's recommendation to approve the Class A Special Use!-Permit with <br /> ;the twelve conditions attached (those are on pages of this book).
