The National Trust for Historic Preservation has designated May as <br />Historic Preservation Month. Please join the Historical Foundation of <br />Hillsborough & Orange County, and the Orange County Historic <br />Preservation Commission in promoting preservation <br />by participating in "Photography Competition 2010" <br />Our theme this year is "Old Commercial Buildings" <br />Chambers Mini Mart on NC <br />86 North <br />ELIGIBILITY, RULES &. REGULATIONS <br />This competition is open to amateur and junior photographers. <br />Amateurs are individuals earning less than 40% of their income from <br />the sale, production or publication of photographs. A Junior <br />photographer is anyone 18 years of age or under. <br />You may submit photographs whether you live within or outside of <br />Orange County. The Competition is open to all. <br />Competition officials and their immediate families are ineligible. <br />Prize-winning entries from previous Orange County Historical Museum <br />competitions are ineligible. <br />The Orange County Historical Museum, at 201 North Churton Street, <br />Hillsborough, will accept entries beginning Thursday, April 1st. <br />All entries must be submitted by Friday. April 30th, at 4:OOpm. <br />Photography and editing must be performed by the entrant. <br />Images must be of old and historic buildings and sites-such as stores, <br />mills, shops and factories-within the towns, cities or rural areas of <br />Orange County. <br />Photographs must be ready to hang-i. e., matted or framed, labeled <br />with title, your name and contact information.
